SPIRITS - WHISKY |
| The word whiskey comes from the Gaelic Uisge blessed, water of life. We can divide the whiskey in two categories: single malt and blended. The single malt is produced by distillation of only sprouted barley, the majority of single malt distilleries are located in Scotland. The blended instead are obtained from the combination of different malt whiskey or other cereals. Blended come from Scotland, Ireland and the United States (where whiskey is called), Canada and Japan. |
